After Rodgers’ Hail Mary forces OT, Fitz gives Arizona win

Cobb’s incredible catch didn’t stand and worse for the Packers, the second-leading receiver on an injury-depleted group left the game for good with a chest injury.

Arizona’s quarterback threw for 74 yards on 8-of-14 passing in the first half and has two interceptions in the second. However, the interception got taken off the board due to a defensive penalty on Arizona. On the first play from scrimmage in overtime, Palmer immediately felt pressure from Green Bay. He had never caught a regular-season touchdown, although he had multiple in each of his first two preseasons.

The Packers got nothing going on their next drive, as WR Jared Abbrederis couldn’t haul in a third-down pass, and QB Aaron Rodgers threw low to WR James Jones on fourth-and-5, turning the ball over on downs at the Green Bay 25 with 2:38 left. That game will either be indicative of their flaws or a dose of humility that will have them ready to go against the Packers. Fitzgerald had 176 yards in receiving.

The Cardinals were poised to take the lead back, but Palmer was picked off in the end zone by Randall.
