Ted Cruz’s ‘Apology’ to NY: Sorry You Were Let Down by Liberals
Trump and Cruz got into a lengthy back and forth on the eligibility issue at Thursday’s presidential debate in SC.
When asked why he didn’t mention Cruz, Trump said, “What’s to mention?”
“That’s wrong”, Trump cut in. He said donors in NY should not give to Cruz.
“When the World Trade Centre came down, I saw something that no place on Earth could have handled more beautifully, more humanely than NY”, he told the debate’s audience.
“Or do we want our next president to embrace the values that get government our of the way, that reward hard work, that champion faith, family, and individual liberties?” “I was disappointed by your disparaging remarks about NY values somehow being different from Iowa and New Hampshire values”, Smith wrote. “I think that’s ludicrous”. “I think the political impact will be pretty minor”.
The website Politico, meanwhile, reported that the Cruz campaign was preparing new attacks against Trump.
“Given the fact that for much of his life, Donald was financially supporting those politicians – writing checks to Hillary Clinton, writing checks to Andrew Cuomo – it is a fair inference that he supports their policies”, Cruz said.
While there were pointed exchanges and raised voices at times, it was a response from Donald Trump to an attack from Cruz that quieted the North Charleston, S.C. hall.
Mr Schwartz’s filing said this “this “natural born citizen” Constitution requirement has never been defined or determined by the US Supreme Court, nor has it ever been amended or repealed as prescribed by the Constitution”.
“He didn’t report his bank loans”, he reiterated.
Cruz has been under scrutiny since the Times reported Wednesday that he had failed to report a 2012 campaign loan from Goldman Sachs, where his wife, Heidi Cruz, is an employed.
“I would note that Donald’s record does not match what he says as a candidate”, Cruz said, gamely tackling questions he routinely swatted away for seven months. He said Trump had attacked him because Cruz was a threat to him in Iowa.
Both women said they are retired government employees. As for the loans, Cruz and his aides cited paperwork errors that would be rectified. The only establishment presence who came close to keeping up, again, is Christie. On those reports, he listed the bank loans – without indicating that they were used for his campaign.
