C Morse out; key Chiefs questionable
Jeremy Maclin, Tamba Hali and Justin Houston are all active for the contest, despite Maclin and Houston being considered game-time decisions earlier today.
The Kansas City Chiefs, like the New England Patriots, will have several key players that were on the injury report active for Saturday’s National Football League divisional playoff game at Gillette Stadium Saturday.
Houston missed all of December with a sprained knee.
Maclin, for the first time this week, was at practice during the early portion open to the media.
Maclin was injured in last week’s win at Houston.
Both Hali and Houston play pivotal roles on the Chiefs defense, with Houston leading the team with 7.5 sacks in the regular season. New England has a full compliment of guys with the returns of Julian Edelman, Sebastian Vollmer, Chandler Jones, Dont’a Hightower and others. Without him – or if he’s limited – coach Andy Reid’s offense becomes much easier to defend.
Inactives are due out 90 minutes before kickoff and the Patriots will release their final injury report later in the afternoon.
According to oddsmakers from online sports book BetDSI, the Chiefs are now a 5-point underdog versus the Patriots while the over/under sits at 43.5 points.
