New James Bond movie Spectre set for London premiere
In typically English fashion, James Bond will be ditching the generally preferred warmth of Los Angeles in favor of the (probable) cold drizzle of London for the world premiere of Spectre.
And in a first for the long-running spy franchise, fans will also have the opportunity to see the latest 007 adventure that same night when it opens in cinemas across the UK as well as here in Ireland.
Director Sam Mendes started shooting Spectre in December shortly after the title and main cast of the 24th Bond film were announced.
The distributors, Sony Pictures, said that the, fourth time bond, Daniel Craig starrer movie will set a new history by releasing on the same day of the premiere, the BBC reported.
Ralph Fiennes will replace Dame Judi Dench as Bond’s boss, M, while double Oscar-winner Christoph Waltz will keep fans entertained as a new villain.
The synopsis for the new film goes: Bond’s past comes back to haunt him in a form of a cryptic message that will lead him to discover an organization so evil and powerful. The 23rd instalment, Skyfall, racked up an impressive 1.1 billion dollars (£704 million) worldwide in 2012.
The Sam Mendes directed film will also be released in cinemas across the UK and Ireland on the same date.
