TCA: Tina Fey: ‘You Get More Show’ With ‘Kimmy Schmidt’ on Netflix
Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt, produced by Tina Fey and Robert Carlock (30 Rock), was ditched by NBC after its first season was produced, and Netflix happily grabbed it, earning awards nominations and its own cult following.
While Titus is entering into a new relationship, Jacqueline (Jane Krakowski), Kimmy’s boss, is just getting out of one. “They’ve given her a wonderful opportunity to grow into a more fully formed human being this season, and I think she really does have a great understanding of what the world is about by the end of the season”. “But we were cert aware of the fact that there’s a certain type of woman, in fiction and non-fiction, who survives something that’s bad and still comes out optimistic”, she says.

Because of that, Fey said that season two’s episodes will run longer, averaging 27 minutes per episode.
