Celine Dion’s brother Daniel dies two days after her husband

Just days after the loss of her husband, Celine Dion faced another tragedy after her brother, Daniel, passed away after his battle with cancer as well.

The news of Daniel Dion’s death comes after the death of the 73-year-old Angelil in suburban Las Vegas on Thursday after a long ballet with throat cancer. “For those wishing to send flowers, a donation to that organization would be very much appreciated”.

Daniel, 59, had been suffering from throat, brain and tongue cancer, died in a hospital in Montreal just a day after being told he only had hours to live. His funeral will be held at St-Simon-et-Jude, in Charlemagne Quebec, where Celine and her family were raised.

Daniel’s obituary read: “His last days were in the wonderful care of the doctors and personnel at Maison Adhemar-Dion, a palliative care center in Terrebonne, Quebec”.

The Dion family describes their brother as a person that was a “gentle and reserved man of many talents”.

The Canadian entertainment manager, who discovered Dion (47) when she was 12-years-old and drove her career to stardom. “It’s very painful. It’s a matter of days or hours”, she said.

As stated earlier, Celine also lost her husband, Rene on January 14th.

“Our family is very experienced [with this type of cancer]”.
