Microsoft is bringing one of the world’s fastest keyboards to the iPhone
In fact, one of the most applauded features of these phones is the Word Flow keyboard, and Microsoft is now considering bringing this feature to iOS. Receivers of the mail are also invited to join the beta program, which allows interested parties to give the new software a try before the stable version is launched on Apple’s mobile platform. Of course, nothing’s confirmed on that front yet, but if the iOS version proves a hit, an Android take seems possible, too.
The Verge was able to obtain an email sent by Microsoft to its Windows Insiders, which states that the company is looking for iPhone users to test out the Word Flow keyboard.
Based on the feedback provided by Insiders, Microsoft is scheduled to build a detailed roadmap of the various features, which need to be incorporated to the keyboard developed for iOS platform.
As soon as we get some more details on exactly when the Word Flow keyboard will launch on the iPhone, we will let you guys know.
Apple introduced support for third-party keyboards alongside iOS 8. No matter what aspect you hate about the Windows operating system, there is one factor that you can not ignore, and that is the keyboard.
And the Word Flow keyboard will also suggest emojis. From a highly-accurate typing interface, to swipe typing, to accurate autocorrecting, and more, Word Flow won accolades in its native OS, and lots of users are pleased to hear the feature may be moving on to their systems. However, I would love to have Word Flow on my iPhone and see all the smarts that have been included in the package. “We are now working on extending this keyboard to other platforms, starting with iOS”, the company writes in the email. Mind you, there are a number of nice Android keyboard apps around, but we assure you that the Microsoft keyboard will be worth the wait, if it’s close to what they have on the Windows Phone. What’s your favorite keyboard?
