Cruz takes aim at New Hampshire voters for upcoming tour
Trump declared Saturday morning that Cruz was a “natural-born Canadian”.
This week, Cruz has attempted to undermine the presidential front-runner in Iowa and New Hampshire by saying that Trump represents NY values, which according to Cruz, are inferior to values in the two key primary states. Trump called those remarks “very, very insulting”. Cruz had given a backhanded apology not for his comments, but to New Yorkers who were harmed by liberal politicians.
After Stephanopolous pointed out that there may be a question of whether the man in Texas who is suing Cruz has standing to press his case, the host suggested to the billionaire businessman that he might be in a position to file his own suit.
Meanwhile, The Donald said he supported Marco Rubio’s right to be president, because he was born on American soil, even though his parents weren’t citizens at the time, Trump said during an interview with CNN’s Jake Tapper. “In South Carolina, when I was there, the people there certainly understand it”, Mr. Cruz said.
“He’s a total hypocrite”, Mr. Trump said of Mr. Cruz on ABC. “Donald hasn’t done that, whether it’s on national security or on the other issues”. “This is one of the sort of political games people play, where we said immediately, look, it was a mistake on our part, we understood the order of the votes”. “Number two, I don’t want to take a chance”. “He’s at the bottom of the pack, I’m at the top of the pack”, he said.
“I think it’s incredible. Lindsey Graham embarrassed himself with his failed run for President and now further embarrasses himself with endorsement of Bush”. He had zero. He had nothing. He’s a very – he’s got a edge that’s not good. “People want to know how you’re different”.
Tana Goertz, Donald Trump’s peppy Iowa campaign co-chair, boils down the caucus process to a few easy steps. So I mean, that’s the way it is. “If we don’t have strong borders, we have a problem”.
Many GOP traditionalists fear that each candidate would be a disaster in the November general election. I don’t know if Benghazi resonated like it should have. “I haven’t thought of it. I am thinking about this one”, he said.
“It’s not a good thing for the country”, said Mr. Trump, who has led Republican opinion polls for months. Somebody gives them money.
Walker said he wasn’t looking for an overtly religious message from Cruz.
In a sign of their increasing separation from the rest of the field, Trump and Cruz have spent the past week focused on tearing each other down, ending the de facto alliance they had maintained to this point in the race. “That’s not gonna happen with me”.
“I’m campaigning on behalf of American values. But I’m going to detail exactly what we’re going to do about it”, Rubio said. “First of all everybody is dealing with their PAC”.
Cruz likened his rival to Democrats who similarly defended NY.
