LAVA May Unveil A Second Generation Android One Handset Next Week
The OG Android One models were produced by companies like Micromax, Spice and Karbonn. Since then, Android One has spread to a number more countries, though the sales number aren’t exactly as high as predicted. After it first launched in India, Indonesia, Myanmar, Bangladesh, Turkey, and Philippines, Google has expanded Android One to Pakistan, as well, with the new QMobile A1 smartphone. Google developed Android One to help consumers in emerging markets buy their first smartphone, and enjoy a pure Android experience for an affordable price. The company has sent out press invitations for an event scheduled for July 27th that could be held to unveil the next-generation of Android One handsets.
As you can see for yourself from the above invite, it’s pretty obvious that Lava is going to launch an Android One handset. The 1 in the photo comprises of hints to the features on upcoming phone.
The phone sports a 4.6-inch IPS LCD capacitive touchscreen display with support for HD (720p) resolution and is equipped with a 1.3GHz quad-core (octa-core?) MediaTek MT6753 processor working hand in hand with a Mali-T720 graphics processing unit and 2GB of RAM.
Android One phones are certainly starting to look a lot better, don’t you think?
