Ronda Rousey Finally Has Some Good News About The Holly Holm Rematch
She may be about to star in a film with Tina Fey, but Ronda Rousey, the former UFC female bantamweight champion, isn’t finished with the sport that made her famous.
Before Holm gets another look at Rousey, she must first defend her title against Meisha Tate at UFC 197. People keep asking if I’m gonna train Ronda Rousey and so forth, but they are just rumors.
Despite having time off from her “day job” as a professional MMA fighter for the UFC, Rousey has a busy schedule as she will be hosting Saturday Night Live this weekend and now has two movies scheduled heading into the summer. Should “The Preacher’s Daughter” leave the March 5 pay-per-view event at Las Vegas’ MGM Grand Garden Arena with the belt, it’d likely set up another fight with Rousey later this year.
“Of course, that’s all I want to do”, Rousey said about facing Holm a second time. “Rowdy’s” reign at the top of the women’s MMA world was ended with one swift kick by Holm that knocked out Rousey and dropped her from invincible to mere mortal. Rousey also said in the interview that though an exact date for her fights was not yet decided, they would happen later in 2016.
“The filming of the movie got pushed back”, White told Yahoo Sports.
“It’s a decision we’re all going to make together”, she said referring to the UFC and Holm’s camp.
Don’t believe the rumors; Ronda Rousey’s UFC career isn’t over.
The “options” Rousey are referring to most certainly are in reference to the date and location of her next fight.
