Tennessee family claims 1 of 3 winning Powerball tickets
The winning ticket was confirmed by Tennessee lottery officials Friday afternoon.

Robinson carried the precious slip of paper to New York City and back before delivering the ticket Friday to lottery officials in Nashville. All three states with winners have laws requiring their names to be released publicly, according to the Powerball website.
Upon learning they apparently had one of three winning tickets in the record $1.6 billion Powerball drawing Wednesday night, Lisa says, she ran to her husband, woke him up and told him to check the numbers on their ticket. The identities of the California and Florida winners are unknown at this time. After finding the winning numbers on Twitter, she and her daughter saw they had a $1 million victor.

The odds of winning the Powerball are one in 292.2 million. She indicated she would return to work Monday. She went to school at Murray State. The mother of two said she had always hoped for smaller jackpots when playing the lottery because she never sought out a lavish lifestyle in the past and “I don’t really want that now”.
The Tennessee Lottery has not verified the ticket. They say their lawyer advised them to go on TV first as a way of controlling the story. Asked how she felt, Lisa Robinson said, “Like Christmas morning; like a big kid”.
Lisa said the entire experience has been exciting but also overwhelming.
Ricardo, 36, told lottery officials that “one of the best parts about this was calling my mom”.
A Munford man said he won the Powerball this week, a national media outlet reported Friday. “It felt great to be able to make that call”.
