BlackBerry Priv Android Smartphone will launch in India on January 28
BlackBerry Priv was initially was available for Pre-orders in October when the phone was announced by the company in 2015.
BlackBerry will launch the Priv in India on 28 January.
Recalling the specs of the Priv smartphone, it comes with a slim design and features a slide out physical keyboard just like that of the earlier BlackBerry Torch. We can expect the BlackBerry to bring about the smartphone to the country at around the same price with some additional taxes when it comes to India. It also bears support for a glove mode. The thought that this Smartphone runs on Android 5.1.1 (Lollipop) instead of BlackBerry OS seems to be very exciting to its India fans. The processing tasks are handled by a 64-bit hexa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 808 SoC (1.8GHz dual-core Cortex-A57, and 1.44GHz quad-core Cortex-A53) paired with 3 GB RAM and Adreno 418 GPU.
With 32GB of in-built storage, the smartphone also has a hot-swappable microSD expansion slot (up to 2TB). It boasts an 18MP dual-flash rear camera bundled with optical image stabilisation, PDAF, dual-LED flash, and 4K video recording. The device has a 2 megapixel front facing camera and you can now enjoy selfie with excellent quality.
BlackBerry will make available the Priv soon in Indian market and it has been introduced in attractive AMOLED screen with slightly curved in the edges and slider QWERTY keypad for the BlackBerry lovers.
The connectivity options bundled with the BlackBerry Priv include support for 4G LTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac with Direct functionality, Bluetooth 4.1, 3.5mm audio jack, Micro-USB, NFC, and GPS/ A-GPS. It also has an accelerometer, magnetometer, gyroscope, time fo flight (ToF) sensor, Proximity sensor, ambient light sensor, altimeter and activity monitor.
