‘The Bachelor’ Sneak Peek: Lauren B. Gets A One-On-One Date With Ben
The stunning departure of LB, who refused Ben’s rose, set the Bachelor back on his heels momentarily, but there are 17 women, who are anxious to spend time with him-some more than others and one not at all.
Lauren B.is in for the ride of her life on tonight’s episode of ABC’s hit dating competition series “The Bachelor”. When Olivia returns, Jami informs her what they were talking about and the Austin news anchor can’t help but agree that she has ugly toes. Leg pushes aside, she group date rose goes to Amber-her first ever!
Lauren B and Ben soar off into the wild blue yonder in a bi-plane. He’s always picking up the girls in a sweet ride (either a convertible or aircraft) and they eventually end up in a hot tub.
After be-splittling their microphones from above Venice Beach, their biplane lands in what’s supposedly the SoCal desert, but seems to be about 5 minutes from a turnoff on the 101. “I want her to make jokes and feel comfortable”.
The bottom line: Ben Higgins’ season of The Bachelor has officially turned into a catfight and Jubilee is the new one-to-watch.
In the hot tub, Ben and Lauren B. robotically kiss, a moment that’s about as bland as Ben’s fashion sense.
If we did have to say right now one way or another, though, we’d probably say that Lace makes it on the season. Underneath that tough exterior, she’s more likable the more she opens up.
At dinner, Ben gave Lauren B. the rose, and then they danced in a barn to Lucy Angel, a country trio. Despite their song literally being about a bad relationship that changed its character for the worse, Ben reads it as signifying that Lauren could change his life for the better. Higgins also eliminated Utah mathematician Shushanna Mkrtychyan and Canadian bartender Jami Letain. The ladies paired off and were coached by none other than FIFA Women’s World Cup champions Alex Morgan and Kelley O’ Hara. “I want to be able to offer you more”.
An extremely competitive soccer match pitted Team Stars against Team Stripes for the right to attend an after-party with Bachelor Ben. The girls were even asked to place Ben’s home state of IN on a map, which they all had a hard time doing. Who really won The Bachelor 2016? During that party she took him up to a hotel room, then leaned over the balcony with him to say hi to everyone… ugh, girl.
Naturally, Olivia was the first one to steal Ben away, and the women took this opportunity to tear her apart a little bit-which Jami felt the need to tell Olivia. The first date card went to Jackie, Lauren H., Becca, Lauren “LB”, Amber, Mandy, Jubilee, Jojo, Jennifer and Lace. Jubilee spits out the spa’s caviar because SHE IS THE ONE PERCENT, and wears the shit out of an all-white-outfit because only she can pull off wearing white before Memorial Day. It’s unclear how the hot tub got there or how it works, but it’s clear why Ben includes hot tubs in all of his dates, the strategy seems to be working well for him.
The conversation gets serious when she shares that her entire family passed away back in her homeland of Haiti. Ben stares at her for a beat trying to figure out if she’s kidding. Ben receives some sad news from home, which may affect his ability to move on.
Olivia takes advantage of Ben’s display of emotion to pounce, taking him out back to, I shit you not, complain to him about how bloggers think she has cankles. I thought it was really nice to hear her speak about what her intentions were, so I gave her the rose.
