“From what I understand, these last 18 months he really curated his death, and the play Lazarus and the album. He said that because he knew that he may not always be able to be around”, Hove told NOS.nl station.
Most people would be satisfied with the life of a bonafide rock star, or being hailed as one of the most well-respected musicians of their time, but Bowie needed to more.
As well as Blackstar, Bowie released a single and a musical, both called Lazarus at the end of a year ago.
On the day of Bowie’s death, she posted, “The Struggle is real, but so is God”.
“Look up here, I’m in heaven, I’ve got scars that can’t be seen”.
“We are fans of his music and admirers of his talent, and so it is with great sadness that we mark his passing”, company President and CCO Scott Greenstein said in a statement.
