In Sunday night’s Democratic debate, Bernie Sanders came out ahead for the first time, getting the most airtime.
“My relationship with him – it’s interesting”, Ms Clinton said to laughs in the debate hall.
Meanwhile, just 7.6 percent of Yik Yak comments about Clinton were approving, while 52.5 percent were disapproving.
The third participant in the debate, former Maryland Gov. Martin O’Malley, tried persistently to insert himself into the conversation, hoping to boost his poll numbers out of single digits. Sanders’ call for normalization goes beyond President Barack Obama’s stated agenda, which is to neutralize Iran’s nuclear threat while continuing to confront its disruptions in the region through separate sanctions and diplomatic pressure.
Meanwhile, Clinton, is a realist who understands that working on improving on the Affordable Care Act, will require bipartisan help and she feels that Sanders plan is politically impossiblea point she made effectively on Sunday.
In a city reeling from the killing of nine parishioners at a black church in one of the worst acts of violence of 2015, Clinton attacked Sanders as being “a pretty reliable vote for the gun lobby”. Sanders in particular addressed Clinton 22 times, and O’Malley mentioned her eight times.
Clinton has also questioned the practicality of Sanders’ policy proposals.
