Donald Trump to consider suing Ted Cruz on citizenship question
Donald Trump and Sen. And Cruz rejected Trump’s self-comparison to Ronald Reagan, saying he was “pretty sure” Reagan never supported or made large donations to Democrats. “And that’s what the primary process is all about”, Cruz said. Cruz’s campaign has said the failure to report the loan was a paperwork error.
He said he apologized to black school children who couldn’t go to charter schools, jobs lost in NY because of a fracking ban and other things that irk conservatives.
But Cruz pushed back on Trump’s defense, telling reporters “Reagan spent decades as a principled conservative”.
“You have people running up the stairs as that’s happening”, Trump went on, “and Ted Cruz criticizing NY and the people of NY is a disgrace”.
The spat between the pair, who earlier in the campaign called each other friends, has intensified since the Republican debate Thursday, when the Texan assailed reality television star Mr. Trump’s “New York values” and policy positions including past support for abortion rights.
“We’re the biggest city in the country; we’re the greatest city in the country – for him to play to the – you know, his political base and play his political game against the values and interest of eight-and-a-half million Americans is absolutely disgusting”, de Blasio said. And Ted Cruz has so offended everybody in the United States Senate-he brags about it. If you have 99 senators loathing you while they’re working with you, I think his supporters really have to ask the question, what would happen if he’s President of the United States?
At a town hall meeting Monday night in Whitefield, New Hampshire, Cruz said voters need to question Trump’s credibility, saying he was “nowhere to be found” during the debate in Congress over whether to grant amnesty to immigrants living in the country illegally.
Trump was talking about his rivals for the GOP nomination, yet to hear former New Hampshire Governor John Sununu tell it on Bloomberg TV last week, if Trump succeeds, he’ll also be getting rid of scores of local Republicans next fall. In New York people don’t say “hi” to their neighbors.
