Jamie Foxx Helped Pull a Man From a Flaming Car Wreck
The man’s vehicle is believed to have skidded on a wet road, then hit a ditch and flipped over, reported TMZ, which obtained photos of the grisly scene.
Representatives for the 48-year-old actor later confirmed the details his role in the rescue to both ABC News and People magazine.
Jamie unbuckled him, and dragged him 30 feet away from the wrecked auto!
Actor and now professional lifesaver, Jamie Foxx, sprung into action. According to Safety for Citizen’s Facebook page, police and firefighters arrived about nine minutes later, thanks to a 911 call placed by the Oscar-winning thespian. Apparently, Foxx ran outside to see what happened, only to find the driver still buckled in.
One witness retrieved a “rescue tool” from his vehicle, allowing them to break a window, cut the seat belt and extricate Kyle, CHP said.
“Jamie didn’t hesitate. He jumped out and ran to the auto”, a member of the actor’s team told ABC News.
The man driver admitted to the hospital with several injuries, including with major burns as a result of the fire.
This is the first “public” appearance that’s been made by Jamie Foxx since his appearance at the Golden Globe Awards just over a week ago.
