Time father De Villiers blessed with baby boy

South African cricketer AB de Villiers and his wife Daniella became proud parents of their first child on Wednesday afternoon.

One of the best batsman of the modern generation, de Villiers was on paternity leave after he pulled out of the ongoing Test series against Bangladesh to be on his wife’s side. “Mother and son are both doing well”, de Villiers was quoted as saying.

The baby boy was named AB as well!

“Today I became a grandfather!” he wrote in a Facebook post. Abraham Benjamin De Villiers (III) was born at 12:01 and weighed 3.2Kg. “He is a good looking and healthy boy”, he said.

De Villiers who is on a break from national duty as the couple was expecting their first child. A visibly delighted De Villiers posed for photos with his newborn and his in-laws were also present at the hospital to catch a glimpse of their grandchild.
