Ride Along 2, The Revenant Reign At The Box Office
Friday box office: “Ride Along 2” has a 15 on Rotten Tomatoes, but that didn’t stop people from seeing it in droves.
Kevin Hart and Ice Cube’s new comedy Ride Along 2 has topped the Martin Luther King Jr. holiday weekend’s box office with a $39.5 million haul!

The competition closes at 23.59 (GMT) on Tuesday 2nd February 2016.
Star Wars: The Force Awakens took in $25.1 million this weekend, bringing its domestic total to $851 million. Star Wars would be smart to just sign him up next time. Globally, “The Force Awakens” sits at $1.86 billion, third all-time behind “Titanic” and “Avatar”.
The film, which had a solid “A” Cinemascore, had a harder time succeeding than past pro-military films “American Sniper” and “Lone Survivor”, as Benghazi has come to take on more of a political connotation alienating some of its audience. That film won the Best Picture Oscar and The Revenant has a chance to do the same.
“Joy” crossing $50 million this weekend.
The three aforementioned films were followed by “13 Hours: The Secret Soldiers of Benghazi” and “Daddy’s Home”, starring Mark Wahlberg and Will Ferrell.
Rounding up the Top 10 were sixth placer “Norm Of The North” with $8.7 million, “The Forest” at seventh place with $6.5 million, “The Big Short” placing eighth with $6.3 million, “Sisters” at ninth place with $5 million and “The Hateful Eight” at tenth with $4.2 million, according to Gossip Cop. That’s what Best Picture means.
