Troops killed in Somalia sent home
According to Al shabaab spokesman, 100 Kenyan soldiers were killed in El Adde attack as unspecified number of KDF soldiers have been captured alive and held as prisoners of war by Al shabaab.
Kenya has more than 4,000 troops in the 22,000-strong AU force in Somalia helping the UN-backed government battle Al-Shabaab, which is part of the Al-Qaida allied terror network.

Omamo said more Kenyan soldiers alongside other regional ones serving under AMISOM will be deployed to the camp which is near Kenya-Somalia border.
NAIROBI, Kenya The bodies of at least four Kenyan soldiers slain by Somali Islamic extremists arrived in the Kenyan capital on Monday. The group has been slowly pushed out of most of Somalia’s major cities, but continues to launch guerilla attacks within the country. Masked al-Shabab gunmen also killed almost 150 people at Garissa University College past year.
Such terrorist attacks, aimed at curbing the march of reconstructing Somalia’s state institutions, would fail in accomplishing its goals, he affirmed, reiterating League’s willingness to double its cooperation efforts with the Somalian government, African Union, UN, and global and regional organizations to counter terrorism and eradicate its roots.
