Sarah Palin backs Trump’s presidential bid
In the final weeks before the Iowa Caucus and New Hampshire primary, Republican candidate Ted Cruz is talking more about Donald Trump than he ever has before on the campaign trail.
Her backing for Trump comes as a blow for Ted Cruz who was hoping to receive her support in the contest.
“If I were head of that, I would get rid of it and I would let the states start having more control over the lands that are within their boundaries and the people who are affected by the developments within their space”, she said.
I couldn’t disagree with her more but she has played the game now for years.
Palin returned to her familiar fossil-fuel-promoting gobbledygook at the Trump event on Tuesday, trotting out the “drill, baby, drill” mantra again. (Crowd screams “Hallelujah!”) Then she came out with a fifth-grade level rationale for a Trump presidency: “Where, in the private sector you actually have to balance budgets in order to keep the main thing the main thing, and he knows the main thing, a president is to keep us safe economic and militarily”.
“Regardless of what she does in 2016”, he tweeted, “I will always be a big fan”.
Track Palin was arraigned in Palmer District Court and was released after posting $1500 bail later Tuesday.
U.S. Sen. John McCain (R-Arizona) selected Sarah Palin as his vice presidential running mate during his 2008 run for the White House.
Miss Palin, 25, a mother-of-two, said she was “too busy with diapers to delve too much into politics” but her mother could “pick winners”.
She added, “He is beholden to no one but we the people – how refreshing”.
At a rally in the Hawkeye State Tuesday, Palin delivered an embarrassingly incoherent and rambling speech endorsing the billionaire Republican.
“I think it helps Trump overwhelm the news cycle with Trump coverage at a critical time”, he said.
She told delegates that Track, who had joined the army the previous year, was preparing to leave to serve in Iraq.
Vaclav said he “possibly” will caucus February 1, when Iowans begin the process of selecting the next president.
In an interview with CNN’s Jake Tapper last month, the ex-governor said her two favorite candidates in the 2016 race were Trump and Cruz.
Palin rallied supporters, telling them that he would “kick ISIS’ ass” and not “apologize” for America. Others may be leaning toward Trump but are unsure whether they can trust Trump’s conservative or religious promises for the very good reason he is not conservative or particularly religious, despite his recent protestations to the contrary.
“I’d love that because she really is somebody that knows what’s happening and she’s a special person”, he said.
Standing in front of a life-size, rifle-toting model of the actor in full cowboy gear, Trump accepted the endorsement of Aissa Wayne at the John Wayne Birthplace Museum in Winterset, Iowa.
Criticizing the “the system” and the “establishment”, Palin said “crony capitalists” and the nation’s campaign finance system have led the nation down the wrong path. “We need someone new, who has the power and is in the position, to bust up that establishment”, she said.
