Sanders looking to build on momentum in Iowa
Clinton rapped Sanders for voting repeatedly with the National Rifle Association, and then welcomed his weekend reversal to support legislation that would deny gun manufacturers legal immunity.
In the latest national poll, 1,003 likely Democratic voters were asked whom they would support for the presidential nomination.

On Sunday, the Sanders Facebook page posted an interesting graphic that has been making its way around the interweb, meant to demonstrate the difference between his campaign and the Hillary Clinton redux effort. In the new poll, Clinton maintains a broad lead over Sanders as the more trusted candidate when it comes to ISIS, 55% Clinton to 26% Sanders, about the same as in early December.
The Jan. 18 King Day rally at the State House was an important stop for the candidates, an opportunity to address a large, mostly black crowd that is likely interested in the political process. He also appears to have an edge over Clinton in New Hampshire, which votes second.
If those numbers were to hold, with Clinton narrowly taking Iowa and Sanders winning New Hampshire, the January 27 SC primary could prove quite interesting.
The letter pointed to Sanders’ call during Sunday’s Democratic debate to “move aggressively” to normalize relations with Iran following recent developments in the nuclear deal.
Sanders took his campaign to Alabama on Monday night, addressing a crowd of more than 5,000 at an auditorium in Birmingham.
