Democratic Presidential Debate Touches on Health Care
Hillary Clinton and Senator Bernie Sanders participate in the Democratic Candidates Debate hosted by NBC News and YouTube on January 17 in Charleston, South Carolina.
She became tearful at a campaign stop and that moment helped give her the momentum to claim that New Hampshire had once again turned a Clinton into a ‘comeback kid’.
“The stakes are high”, they warn in the letter. “But it’s just a poll and we take nothing for granted”.
BRZEZINSKI: It all comes as Senator Sanders continues to criticize Clinton’s record out on the trail.
Attack! In Toledo, Iowa, on Monday. Although Clinton chose not to push this issue too hard during the debate, she did mention that she was “pleased” he had “reversed” himself.
In South Carolina, Sanders countered that his “Medicare for all” proposal was the natural evolution to the health care law, reminding Clinton that he played a role in its passage.
President Obama is popular among Democratic primary voters, and Hillary Clinton seemed at times to go out of her way to link herself to his policies and leadership.

Sanders’ strategy aims to capitalize on strong finishes in Iowa and New Hampshire to propel him in the two remaining contests in February: Nevada and SC.
And while Sanders has worked his way toward closing the gap over the course of the last two months, the figures of the latest polls are set to confound many, including his rival Hillary Clinton. Eight years ago, the primary fight here between Clinton and Obama was bitter and tinged with racial overtones. The latest surveys suggest the race between Clinton and Sanders is effectively tied in the Hawkeye State.
