Darius Fleming recounts pulling woman from smoking auto
“There were probably some easier solutions but nice dramatic kick the window in and pulled her out”. The Patriots will face the Broncos in the first game of the day with Arizona and Carolina following.
With the stitches still fresh, Fleming played on Saturday.
Fleming was driving home from the team’s facility on Route 1 and was just a couple of minutes into his trip when he saw a semi-truck make an unexpected right turn, prompting three cars behind the truck to crash.
“I didn’t think about it too much”.
New England Patriots linebacker Darius Fleming made two combined tackles in Saturday’s win over the Kansas City Chiefs in the divisional round of the National Football League playoffs.
“I tried to open the door and it wouldn’t work so I was like, ‘I’ve got to get her out because I don’t know if she can breathe, ‘ so I started banging on the window and it wouldn’t break and I just starting kicking the window and eventually it broke”. “She did a great job of stitching me up”.
Fleming’s injuries caused him to leave the scene before the police arrived, and he returned to Gillette to alert the team of what happened before going to the hospital. Because the first thing that came into my mind was ‘Damn, my leg is pretty cut up today, ‘ and I wasn’t sure how it would affect me and how it would affect my game.
“It was a little freaky, but anyone in that situation would’ve done the same thing”, said Fleming, per Volin.
Devin McCourty, defensive captain of the Pats, says that when the team heard about the story, Fleming gave a full account, according to the report.
“I think it represents [Fleming’s] character”, fellow linebacker Rob Ninkovich told CBS. Anyone in that situation, you have to act, not watch.
His agent confirmed the rescue after Fleming’s high school in Chicago wrote about it on Facebook, according to NBC Sports.
