Obama to Take in Detroit Auto Show as Industry Flourishes

Teachers from Detroit Public Schools will be trying to bring attention to the conditions of the education system in the city.

“We welcome President Obama to the 2016 North American International Auto Show and invite him to visit the exhibits of all automakers operating in the United States”.

Cecilia Munoz heads up the group that coordinates the White House’s domestic policy-making process.

MI lawmakers are moving quickly to approve Gov. Rick Snyder’s request for $28 million more to address the drinking water crisis in Flint. He’s traveling Wednesday to Detroit.

Obama is not expected to visit Flint while in Detroit.

On Tuesday, President Obama will welcome Prime Minister Turnbull of Australia to the White House. Vermont independent Sen. Bernie Sanders has called for the governor’s resignation.

According to the paper the only other sitting American Presidents to visit the Detroit Auto Show have been President Dwight Eisenhower and President Bill Clinton.

At the start of Obama’s presidency, GM and Chrysler were teetering on collapse when the administration effectively forced both automakers into bankruptcy, lending them enough to survive.
