Track Palin Arrested on Domestic Violence Charge
Later, Palin closed her speech with one of the most bewildering statements of the night.
Suggesting there were no fiercer fighters for conservative values than a small-town “hockey mom”, the former beauty-pageant victor professed a love of hunting with guns and thought it more important that the United States increase drilling for oil than fret about climate change. And it seriously undercut the notion, growing in some political circles, that GOP rival Ted Cruz has nailed down the support of all of Iowa’s conservatives.
Monmouth asked the same of Trump for comparison, and found that 91% of Republicans said he’s a natural-born citizen, 2% said he’s not and 7% weren’t sure. In a sometimes disjointed address to the crowd, Palin said Trump is “going rogue left and right”.
Investigators said that Palin appeared intoxicated and allegedly threw her phone, possibly breaking it, the complaint said.
The former Alaska governor and 2008 vice presidential nominee says she is proud to back Trump for president.
There is a tight race in between Trump and Cruz in Iowa, according to RealClear Politics averages of recent polling, which put them in a virtual tie, with Trump ahead of Cruz by just a single percentage point, 27.8 to 26.7 percent.
Campaigning in New Hampshire, Cruz said, “Regardless of what Sarah intends to do in 2016, I will remain a big, big fan of Sarah Palin”.
Donald Trump said he doesn’t think Sarah Palin would be interested in becoming his running mate mate and trying for a second time to become vice president.
Cruz suffered another blow Tuesday when Iowa’s popular Republican governor, Terry Branstad, said Cruz was “heavily financed by Big Oil” and “could be very damaging to our state”.
There’s no need to say that this move can provide a significant boost for Trump’s campaign, with less than two weeks until the Iowa event, and might help him win the GOP nomination. But this, only time can tell, so for the moment we can only wait for the Iowa results.
Palin’s son is also in the headlines after his arrest Monday night on domestic abuse charges in Wasilla, Alaska.
A police report stated he threatened to kill himself with an AR-15 assault weapon.
“America needs help and we need a strong leader and we need someone like Mr. Trump with leadership qualities, someone with courage, someone that’s strong, like John Wayne”, she said.
