(CBS) There was quite the surprise waiting for Olympic gold medal-winning gymnast Shawn Johnson after she threw out the first pitch before Friday’s Cubs-Phillies game at Wrigley Field.

East dropped to one knee near home plate and presented the 2008 gold medalist with a diamond engagement ring.

Later, she put her feelings onto her Twitter feed.

The next year, Johnson was crowned a “Dancing with the Stars” champion alongside Mark Ballas.
