After Kiku Sharda, Complaint Against Gurmeet Ram Rahim
The video sees the self-proclaimed god man dressed as Lord Vishnu and this irked the federation. On the night of Wednesday 13 January Kiku was whisked away by the Haryana police for allegedly hurting the religious sentiments of a god-man’s followers.
Several news organisations have reported that a Hindu organisation, variously referred to as the Hindu Student Federation and the All India Hindu Federation, has filed a complaint against Ram Rahim for hurting the religious sentiments of Hindus. However, an FIR is yet to be registered against Ram Rahim.
The video has gone viral on social media, wihin which he is dancing in a manner resembling Vishnu. “He first insulted Guru Gobind Singh ji and is now seen as an incarnation of Lord Vishnu in one of the videos”.
Reportedly, cops are hesitating to register a case against Dera Sachcha Sauda chief.
Earlier this week, an FIR had been lodged against comedian Kiku Sharda for mimicking the Baba on a laughter reality show. He was arrested from Mumbai by the Haryana Police. Sharda had been arrested and booked under section 295 A of the Indian Penal Code (outraging religious feelings of any class by insulting its religion or religious belief).
According to final reports, the thing is taking an ugly turn gradually, in the city, with police restraining from registering a case against Ram Rahim fearing a sizeable follower base of him in Doaba and Sirsa region of Punjab.
