Lawmakers proclaim #DSTRONG Day honoring boy with cancer

The Westerly boy has alveolar rhabdomyosarcoma, a rare and untreatable form of pediatric cancer. If a young kid could be that strong, why couldn’t we?

After being informed that Dorian lives is a native of Rhode Island, White offered to help him achieve his dream of becoming famous by putting him on TV during the UFC Fight Night 91 card, headlined by the bantamweight title clash between TJ Dillashaw and Dominick Cruz.

Ten days later, Dorian’s mother posted about Dorian’s special wish on their Facebook page titled “Praying for Dorian”.

China operates some of the tightest online controls in the world, with content deemed to be sensitive deleted and access to some Western websites blocked, along with the services of Internet giants including Twitter, Google and Facebook. He told his dad it was because they have “that bridge”, referring to the Great Wall of China.

His story has reached thousands of people via social media and he was invited to the Patriots playoff game in Foxboro on Sunday.

“Dorian has brought so much inspiration to people, around the world!”

Primary school students in Beijing posted a sign reading: “Dorian, all the children of LVMS know you”.

According to WCVB, more than 2,500 supporters spelled out #DStrong on Misquamicut Beach Monday.

Many have tweeted for Dorian such as Sheldon Whitehouse who said, ‘Hey Dorian, you’re famous here in #DC, too!’.
