Mesut Ozil, Alexis Sanchez available to face Chelsea
Mesut Ozil and Alexis Sanchez are in line to return, although Eden Hazard is closing in on his comeback for the Premier League champions.
Ozil has not played since Arsenal’s 3-3 draw against Liverpool eight days ago, and was sorely missed as Arsenal were held 0-0 at Stoke at the weekend.
Ozil is set to return for the club’s clash with Chelsea this weekend.
Alan Smith says Arsenal do not need to make any new signings in the transfer window because the current squad can win the league. The doubt is that he has been out for a long time and it is a great risk of a setback.
Wenger is also looking forward to having more injured players back soon.
Sanchez has been out of action since November with a calf injury he picked up against Norwich at Carrow Road.
“The tests are one thing, training is another and then the intensity of the game you can never repeat”.
“We’ve taken away something that has been present in every pair of football boots adidas has released – the laces. The signs he’s shown in training this week are positive”. We are going into a very important period so it is good to have key players available.
“It’s good to have everyone back. I don’t think I will be doing myself any favours if I focus on scoring more, or becoming more arrogant in front of goal – and certainly not my teammates”.
