Sony Xperia Z-Series: a James Bond Smartphone
A couple of images have leaked online indicating that the upcoming movie Spectre will see James Bond using a yet-to-be-announced Sony Xperia smartphone.
We might have to forget about that for now and instead wait for the Sony H2 flagship phones especially since the devices are said to use a Snapdragon 810 processor just like the Xperia Z4. 1 SoC that is free from thermal heating problems.
Unfortunately it’s not sure when this will happen, but Sony confirmed that after they will release the Android 5.1 Lollipop for the three devices we’ve mentioned above, they will also work on releasing this Android version to the Xperia C3, Xperia T2 Ultra, Xperia M2 and Xperia M2 Aqua. The Xperia S60/Xperia Z5 and the Xperia S70/Xperia Z5 Compact are likely to be priced higher in comparison to the handsets in the current Xperia lineup, as both are reported to be high-end smartphones.
The general manager of Sony Mobile Taiwan, Jonathan Lin had claimed in May that the company has no plans on offering Quad HD resolution on its forthcoming smartphones. When the Android M OS will be officially rolled in the near future, Sony will make it available for several smartphones that belong to the Xperia Z handsets. The Xperia Z5 could be marketed as a “made for Bond” smartphone, or at least that’s what two recently revealed promo images are suggesting. The report by WinFuture did not provide any details about the specifications and features of the upcoming Xperia S60/Xperia Z5 and Xperia S70/Xperia Z5 Compact, but claimed that both the handsets would offer 32GB of internal memory.
