Star Wars The Force Awakens Plot: Rey’s Parents Hinted By Directors?
Having spent nearly three years worrying about every little thing to do with Star Wars: The Force Awakens, and whether or not he was about to ruin the franchise for good, the filmmaker can now sit back, relax, and enjoy the acclaim that is coming his way. Yes, I would much rather someone else was directing Episode IV, and I’m deliberately keeping my expectations for the film low because of Trevorrow’s involvement.
The following video contains a massive amount of scenes from Star Wars: The Force Awakens, as well as a few that never made it to the movie. “Rey is a character that is important in this universe, not just in the context of ‘The Force Awakens, ‘ but in the entire galaxy”.
That said, fans who were left with questions about Rey’s ancestry will likely have them answered – but perhaps not until Star Wars: Episode IX drops in 2018.
George Lucas’ newest “Star Wars” addition grossed only $1.733 billion worldwide, while “The Titanic” grossed over $2.86 billion.
Trevorrow’s response seems to tease an “Episode IX” reveal for Rey’s history instead of Episode “VIII”. Star Wars Episode 8 will be directed by Rian Johnson, who also wrote the script for that installment.
Star Wars Rebels Season 2 episodes return on January 20 and Entertainment Weekly just unveiled a brand new trailer revealing what’s in store.
Whoever Rey actually is, Trevorrow does hint that her father, at least is someone viewers have met. “What’s interesting is I’m not creating a host of new characters”, he said.
J.J. Abrams once explained why he cut out the trailer footage of Maz Kanata handing Leia the lightsaber in Star Wars: The Force Awakens, but another scene with Lupita Noyongo’s character was deleted, and it shows off her Force powers.
We’ll see when “Star Wars” hits in 2019. We want to see more Maz, and we definitely want to see her kick some Stormtrooper butt among the rubble of her popular bar.
