David Bowie wanted to make ANOTHER album but died suddenly

Visibly shaken, an emotional Fallon started his show with a minute-and-a-half-long somber discussion about the shock he felt at the news of Bowie’s death.

“I was never particularly fond of my voice”, Bowie said. I’ll be offline for a while. We were lucky to have had him around all this time.

“I wasn’t, however, prepared for it. He was an extraordinary man, full of love and life”.

It has been reported that David’s body will be laid to rest in NY. “There is no better way to work through grief (than) through music”.

Much has been made of the lyrics and videos for both Lazarus and Blackstar, in which Bowie variously appears on his deathbed and surrounded by images of mortality, such as skulls. We just wish we would have had a chance to say ‘Goodbye.’ In lieu of that, this will have to do.

The March 31 concert will feature performances by The Roots, Cyndi Lauper, Jakob Dylan and longtime Bowie collaborator Tony Visconti. He performed at the awards most recently in 1999, when he performed with Placebo, and with the Pet Shop Boys in 1996. The beauty of this album, how it was released in subtlety and how it surfaced two days later, is proof of Bowie’s figurative resurrection.

“The cast didn’t know all that time, and I suspect that the musicians with whom he recorded [his final studio album] Blackstar didn’t know either”, the director said. That being said, he is one of few musicians so dedicated, so enamored of art that he chose to die on his own terms.
