“‘Star Wars 7″ gets late nomination at Critics” Choice Awards “Spotlight” actress Rachel McAdams on behalf of herself and co-stars Liev Schreiber, Mark Ruffalo, John Slattery, Michael Keaton, Brian d’Arcy James and Billy Crudup accepted the best ensemble prize during the show. While standing on a box to help him reach the microphone, the Vancouver native won over the star-studded crowd by delivering the night’s sweetest acceptance speech. He described it as “the best day of my life”. “That’s what you want everybody to say when a naked photo of you goes viral, you want them to say: ‘What a fearless photo.’ Like wow, thanks”.
Thanking everyone from her mum to her make-up artist Schumar joked, ‘I’m allowed to be indulgent, I’m never going to get an award again’. “I want to thank my parents and I love them very much”.

The Critics’ Choice Awards is always a big night for movie buffs.
And if that wasn’t cute enough, the adorable kid then thanked mom and dad, and revealed he planned to put the award on a shelf in his room – next to his Millennium Falcon!
The 27-year-old actress won the Best Supporting Actress award at the show for her work in The Danish Girl. The critics also applauded the movie for its editing and production, as it took home the awards for Best Editing and Best Production Design.
For television, “Mr. Robot” got several awards, including Best Drama Series.
“Silicon Valley” star T.J. Miller is hosting the ceremony, which will air live on A&E, Lifetime and LMN beginning at 8 p.m. Amy Schumer is getting the Critics’ Choice MVP Award.
“I am plus-plus-size actress Amy Schumer”, she said as she took the stage at Barker Hangar in California.
“Fargo” won for best limited series and earned Kirsten Dunst a best actress in a limited series award too.
While the Oscars buzz is largely surrounding “The Revenant”, this Hugh Class biopic only landed two wins; Leonardo Dicaprio’s Best Actor and Best Cinematography.
