Pediatrician slain in home in affluent New York suburb
The police received a 911 call from the home that the couple shared in the Heathcoate neighborhood on Wednesday night, reporting that a woman had been seriously injured, according to a Scarsdale Police Department press release.
Wednesday afternoon, prior to the charges, Scarsdale police said the Goldman’s death appeared to be targeted.
A law enforcement source said the killing was “domestic” in nature.
Reich was scheduled to be arraigned later Thursday. “This was an isolated incident”, he told the paper.
Of note, court records indicate after the couple’s daughter’s wedding last summer, Jules Reich filing for divorce from Dr Robin Goldman.
The home, on Lincoln Road, was built in 1947 and includes a bath house, swimming pool and greenhouse on 1.3 acres of land.
Multiple media outlets said the victim was Dr. Robin Goldman, 58, a pediatrician at the Children’s Hospital at Montefiore in the Bronx.
According to Reich’s biography on WeiserMazars’ website, the 61-year-old is a partner at the firm, ‘advising corporations, startups, venture capital and private-equity firms in a broad range of industries on critical topics including mergers and acquisitions.’ . He had previously spent most of his career with the large accounting and consulting firm PricewaterhouseCoopers. She was also an assistant professor at Albert Einstein College of Medicine and had been active on several community-focused boards in Scarsdale. He was convicted of manslaughter in the case.
