Halo 2 Gun, New Maps Coming to Halo 5: Guardians
343 Industries has announced that all of Halo 5’s DLC will be free, with the Infinity’s Armory update slated to come out next week.
First up, 343 Industries is going old school and putting the Halo 2 Battle Rifle into Halo 5.
The community has been asking for better matchmaking, which is always a concern for multiplayer focused shooters, and for more systems that make sure that the game remains balanced in the long-term. This means that even if you’re not the biggest fan of Warzone and its heavy reliance on REQ packs, you can make your own Halo 2 inspired maps with the Halo 2 era BR. One of the maps, titled Riptide, is an Arena map that looks to be small to medium sized.
Check out Halo Waypoint’s webpage for more details on “Infinity’s Armory”. According to 343 Industries, it will be unlocked by Spartan Companies who level their Kill Commendations.
Some of the new Forge tools include groupings that can be made with a single button press, Multi-Select/Edit that allows the selection and manipulation of up to 64 individual objects at one time, and 1700+ Objects that can be combined with weapons, turrets, and power-ups, Express listed. Alternatively, you can try to get another special, fully automatic version of the Carbine with an extended magazine. On the bright side, the classic Mjolnir Mark V from Halo: CE is making a return alongside Mister Chief inspired weapon skins.
So far, Microsoft have released two major REQs updates for “Halo 5” and said that they will continue to provide more content to the game, the news outlet added.
It’s looking like the Xbox One is all set to receive some nice new Halo 5 multiplayer goodness. 343 has not specified an exact release date for the Infinity’s Armory update, however, but it will be released later this month.
