Elton John And Lady Gaga Working On New Music Together
“I’m writing with Gaga tomorrow”, John revealed.
Elton told Zane Lowe on Beats 1 that he thought “it was not a good album”, and even said that Gaga herself would likely agree.
New music from Lady Gaga will include songs at least co-written by Sir Elton John. In 2014, she released Cheek to Cheek with Tony Bennett, and news is that the pair are recording a second jazz album. She sang the Julie Andrews tribute on the Oscars which everyone loved.
Gaga won the Best Actress Award for her performance as The Countess in American Horror Story: Hotel.
Perhaps John believes that if you’re going to critique another artist’s work, you should at least be open to lending a helping hand on the next project.
Lady Gaga is ready to dive back into her day job of being a pop juggernaut and apparently she’s got some incredible tunes at the ready. “On the other hand, by her singing these attractive songs on the album, the audience I have, all of them said, ‘God, I never knew she sang that wonderfully.’ So we both helped one another”. “They’re just great songs”, he told Lowe. “It’s like back to the early stuff of hers: “You and I” and the Bruce Springsteen “Bad Romance”.
Classic Gaga mixed with modern-age Gaga? “I think she’s a great writer”.
He said: “She made some bad career decisions – ARTPOP was not a good idea”. Gaga already has a Golden Globe win and a nomination for an Oscar to add to her list of credentials this year.
Sir Elton John would rather pick up his kids from school than be on the road these days. Furthermore, while her latest album that features a collaboration with the great Sir Elton John, the latter is now on his “Wonderful Crazy Night Tour” at the Colosseum, Caesar’s Palace, Las Vegas today.
