Microsoft’s Lumia 650 could be the last device released for Lumia brand
The company has since then tried creating several mobile phones in their Lumia series, but all of them have gone in vain, and it now looks that the company is gearing up to show off the “last lumia” device on the 1 of February – the Lumia 650. Some people would even go so far as to call the Microsoft Lumia 950 cheap looking. The first three were Lumia 950 XL, Lumia 950 and Lumia 550.
It is believed that the Lumia 650 will come with a 5inch display screen and will run on the Snapdragon 210 processor with 1GB RAM. It should also have front and back cameras of 8 and 5 megapixels respectively. There is a chance that Microsoft is using the delay to polish the operating system for public release, but the company could also be waiting for MWC 2016, held in late February, to announce a roll out during their press conference. For the year and perhaps forever.
It is unclear as to what kind of phone the Lumia X could be, but some are speculating that maybe this could be referring to the Surface Phone and the name was used as a placeholder. But the Finnish company still has an aura with the public that could allow it to return to the mainstream market.
So without the Lumia brand, what will Microsoft do?
The news originates from French carrier Bouygues Telecom, who originally stated that Windows 10 Mobile would begin rolling out in the week of January 18th.
The Czech based distributor claimed that possibly the last Lumia smartphone by Microsoft will be valued at CZK 5,491/- which is approximately $ 235 in the Czech Republicfor the unlocked version of the phone. Microsoft hopes to potentially apply the Surface recipe to provide the same boost to its smartphones as it was able to give to its tablet PCs.
