House panel wants to specify fetal tissue can’t be sold

All Republicans on hand voted yes, and all Democrats voted no late Wednesday on measures to reduced Planned Parenthood’s Medicaid reimbursements for prescription drugs – and to make the group ineligible for federal Title X family planning funds.

The State Senate passed bills aimed at fighting heroin, toughening drunk driving penalties, allowing blaze pink during hunting season and legalizing switchblades as well. That sent it to the House, where Democrats for years have killed bills seeking to restrict access to abortion.

Some abortion clinics say they may have to close if the state establishes tough new standards which scored their first approval in the Florida House on Tuesday. A portion of those funds are distributed to a total of 18 health centers across across the state, including 9 non-Planned Parenthood health centers. Committees are also hard at work on other issues including health care issues facing the Commonwealth. She said an unprecedented number of attacks on Planned Parenthood in Congress have created a climate where women’s health is under siege. “So, next year, if we’re sending this bill to a Republican president, it will get signed into law”.
