Tori Spelling reportedly sued by American Express over unpaid $38000 bill
Unfortunately, the payment for the card bounced.
American Express is now asking for full payment of the remaining balance, which will also include interest.
Spelling has not commented on the new legal drama she is facing.
In the papers, she claims she was hospitalised after she fell onto the hibachi grills, receiving “deep second and third degree burn injuries”. The Beverly Hills, 90210 actress sued the restaurant for the incident that happened in September for settling her medical bills along with “general damage”.
A year later, Tori Spelling admitted during an episode of her reality show, True Tori, that she felt “overwhelmed” by her money problems. “[It] doesn’t matter. I know people look at me and they’re like, “oh, poor you.’ Like, ‘boohoo, you have so many problems”. After all, Tori Spelling comes from a family of money, as she is the daughter of the late producer Aaron Spelling. Her mother took away hundreds of millions of dollars.
“I’ve been helping her out, I’ve been paying all her bills now, except I’m not paying extras like that”, she said in a video clip.
Spelling hasn’t made a payment on the card since last summer.
In 2013, she had said that she and and husband Dean McDermott could not afford a vasectomy after the birth of their fourth child. It’s depressing for Tori to not be able to go out and just buy the kids the stuff they want.
While at David Tutera’s 50th birthday party in Los Angeles on Friday, Tori said their relationship has had a ‘rebirth’.
