Magicians Young and unusual ‘hijacked’ this Sky News broadcast in fantastic
The broadcasters tweeted “We’d like to clarify that the Ashish Joshi video with the magicians in the background is not a Sky News report”.
The video was first posted to YouTube by Young & odd Wednesday, along with a longer piece in which the magicians, having decided to start their own TV show, visit the offices of large media operations such as the BBC and ITV.
Quite how it was done, nobody’s sure, but several internet detectives are looking into it. Sky News have yet to comment…
Joshi said on Friday afternoon that the film was designed to generate publicity for Young and odd, in the hope it can help them land a TV show.
As Joshi spelled out the PM’s struggles, the pair were engaged in altogether more serious matters – namely a whizz bang magic trick which they frantically completed before the cameras stopped rolling.
We suppose it’s one way to get noticed – although it would be funnier if it was real.
In a clip that went viral this week, Ashish stands in front of the Houses of Parliament and discussed the NHS reforms, while the magicians got to work behind him.
