Blizzard Arrives Just in Time for Annual ‘March for Life’
As we approach Friday’s 43rd anniversary of the Roe v. Wade U.S. Supreme Court abortion decision that has resulted in the deaths of 55 million babies since 1973, I am saddened for the termination of their lives. “People have a complex understanding of what the issue is and have a serious take on it”. It tells us what sort of society we are.
Other organizations speaking out in the collaborative statement included LifeSiteNews, Students for Life of America, Family Policy Institute of Washington, Catholic League for Religious and Civil Rights, Human Life International, Young America’s Foundation, LifeNews.com and American Principles Project, among others.
The annual March for Life, set for January 22, will convene in a new location in the nation’s capital for the traditional midday rally. And of course, without life, there is no ability to pursue happiness. “We are very concerned for people’s safety and want everyone to be cautious”. The issue of life is a fundamental aspect of that choice. Because of the Supreme Court case, all eyes are on Texas – and they should be. (Photo / Courtesy of Thrive Women’s Clinic) Thrive officials cite the example of women like Alysha Tyler, 25, who searched “Dallas abortion” on her smartphone and found the clinic’s contact information. She must be stopped.
Rhode Island’s constitution provides equal protection under the laws, stating that “no otherwise qualified person shall, exclusively by reason of race, gender or handicap be subject to discrimination by the state, its agents or any person or entity doing business with the state”.
Overall, both sides are monitoring more than a dozen bills that deal with abortion or reproductive issues. “I could not create a life with such a hateful man”, she says.
“Texas Baptists worked for these changes to state law in 2013, and we believe they are important legal restrictions for abortion providers”.
For my work in the Senate, I’ve earned a 100 percent rating from National Right to Life and a 0 percent rating from Planned Parenthood. That’s why I joined more than 150 colleagues in urging the Supreme Court to stop states from unduly restricting women’s constitutional rights.
“Black lives matter… and Indian and Asian, Hispanic and white”, Duffy continued. A Republican Congress and I will once and for all defund Planned Parenthood.
I hope there can be more such open and honest discussions about abortion rights without the vitriolic condemnations and misinformation. This country tells us we are all equal – that even if we are not born into wealth or power, we can still go as far as our talent and hard work will take us. “We should fight for all life, including the life of the unborn”.
“This bill continues the trend in Missouri that women should not make their own decisions”, Dreith wrote in the St. Louis American.
Andrew Walther, the Knights’ vice president for communications and strategic planning, said the results show 81 percent believe “there should be restrictions after the first three months of pregnancy”, adding that “two-thirds of people who self-identify as pro-choice identify with this pro-life position”. But they haven’t been.
As we commemorate the anniversary of this milestone for women, we must recommit to protecting its legacy and defending women’s health for generations to come.
Dolan of NY also called on Catholics to participate in a new “9 Days for Life” campaign launched by the USA bishops’ Secretariat of Pro-Life Activities.
