HTC One M10 rumors point towards April release
It’s been a while since we’ve heard anything about the upcoming HTC One M10, but we now have new rumors from two different sources that give us new insight into the phone’s internal and external hardware, along with HTC’s launch plans for the phone. The rumor says that the reason why there was so little known about the HTC One M10 was because the device is not ready yet. We are pretty sure that as we get closer to HTC One M10’s release date more information will hit the web, so we’ll be able to paint a clearer picture of the highly-anticipated phone.
Naturally, it’s a bit early to talk about price, but there’s a high chance the Qualcomm-based version of HTC One M10 will be slightly more expensive than the MediaTek-powered model. It’s also set to run Android 6.1 Marshmallow along with new HTC Sense 8.0 software. Instead of debuting next month, the device will launch in March in a separate event and should be available in stores by April.
HTC announced the One M9 at the Mobile World Congress (MWC) previous year, but the latest rumours suggest the Taiwanese company might not do the same and unveil the One M10 at MWC 2016. The HTC One M10 release could be the answer to the company’s (and fans) prayers, and an “unofficial” photo has surfaced to get folks excited.
According to Chinese site ITHome.com, as translated by GSMDome, there’s been a holdup in HTC One M10 prototypes. However, this would definitely not be a move we haven’t seen before. That includes a Snapdragon 820 chip, a 23-megapixel rear camera, a 3000mAh battery and an IP68 water-resistant rating.
It further claims that we might see a fingerprint scanner integrated into the home button, which the company has done before in the HTC One A9.
