Bush will take some family help, but avoid over reliance

Bush now seems perfectly aware that there’s no escaping his famous last name. The candidate, who has grappled with how to utilize his family on the campaign trail, argued Thursday that his mother was a powerful surrogate.
The former governor’s campaign has sought to lift his sagging poll numbers by challenging Trump, the Republican front-runner, more aggressively than any of the other establishment-oriented candidates running in the GOP primary.
In 2013, the wife and mother of presidents declared “we’ve had enough Bushes” in the White House, before backtracking as Jeb Bush’s ambition grew. “And I have no doubt that he’d make a better president than, say, Barack Obama, though at this point in Obama’s term that’s setting the bar pretty low”.
Asked by reporters about the video before it was made public Thursday, Jeb Bush said “all advertising hopefully accomplishes people moving toward your cause”.

Later that day, in Keene, New Hampshire, Jeb Bush also cited his family for providing him with a “unique” and “front-row seat” to the presidency.
