See Zac Efron & Vanessa Hudgens’ Original Audition Tape for ‘High School Musical’

Catch the “High School Musical’ 10th anniversary special telecast followed by the movie on Disney Channel”.

Zac and Vanessa met while filming the first High School Musical movie in 2005, and eventually, their love translated off-screen.

The movie tells the story of two high school students from different cliques who discover their passion for singing, but they keep it a secret from their friend groups fearing what they might think.

Vanessa Hudgens, Ashley Tisdale, Luca Grabeel, Corbin Bleu and Monique Coleman all returned to East High as they talked over the famous films in the gym.

“It is so surreal being here”, Hudgens said during the “HSM” reunion.

The former couple’s audition featured Vanessa reciting the film’s famous “kindergarten” lines. “You were either like Sharpay (Tisdale) in a moment, or like Gabriella in another”. Even when they were posing with the rest of their cast members on the red carpet, it was clear that the now-exes were super into each other. “This is only 10 years”, Efron said. A school version of the play entirely eliminates Rizzo’s pregnancy to make it more child-appropriate.

High School Musical 3: Senior Year was the third and final film and was released across cinemas in 2008.
