‘Arrow’ Sneak Peek Reveals Megalyn EK as Vixen

DC released the image above on Twitter today showing Megalyn Echikunwoke as Mari McCabe, better known as Vixen.

The CW has unveiled the first photo of Echikunwoke in costume as Vixen along with a visual representation of her powers.

No surprises there, Megalyn E.K. will be bringing the Vixen out of the animated world to live action with “Arrow”.

While DC is hyping Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice as the beginning of a new era for its superheroes, Arrow and The Flash have already doubled down on bringing in superheroes and heroines who have never previously appeared in live-action.

“Hopefully, that character could actually spin itself out, if not maybe join as one of the Legends [Of Tomorrow]”, Pedowitz said.

The CW seed series Vixen garnered its fair share of fans and went on to be reprised for a second season, as noted by ScreenRant.

We’d expect Vixen season 2 to maintain the six episode format of season 1, but we’ll let you know if we hear otherwise.

Obviously, we imagine we’re going to have many more opportunities to talk about Vixen, given that at present, her appearance on the show is still more than a month away.

Echikunwoke makes her live-action debut as Vixen on Arrow in Episode Fifteen of this season.
