Barbara Bush Cuts Ad for Jeb
Former first lady Barbara Bush, known in her family as “the enforcer”, stars in a new video message for her son Jeb Bush’s presidential campaign, becoming the first member of either of the family’s presidential couples to so publicly speak out on his behalf. When push comes to shove, people are going realize Jeb has real solutions, rather than talking about how popular they are or how great they are.
“There’s no one running for president who’s had a brother that was president, a dad that was president, and I’ve seen how it’s done the right way and I’ve seen how it’s done the wrong way”, he told the crowd. “And I have no doubt that he’d make a better president than, say, Barack Obama, though at this point in Obama’s term that’s setting the bar pretty low”.
Though the video, for now, is planned for the internet only, Bush accidentally announced it at his town hall Thursday night before his campaign had officially released it. “I admit to being prejudiced, as I am his maker”.
She also praises her son for his “big heart”, and compliments him as a “good father” and hard worker.
The tweet was a jab at rival, Florida Gov. Jeb Bush and showed him looking down-and-out, holding a “Vote Trump” sign. “He’s the most popular Republican in the country”.
Coming soon to the campaign trail: The Bush family.
In the letter she wrote, “People ask me if I wanted Jeb to run”.
The letter has already been sent out in Iowa and is headed shortly to New Hampshire and SC.
There is also concern that George W. Bush, a more natural and charismatic campaigner than Jeb Bush, could upstage his younger brother. Fine, you know who has higher expectations than conventional wisdom? Me.
