Warriors coach Steve Kerr to return Friday against Pacers
After missing 43 games due to complications from back surgery, the Golden State Warriors announced that head coach Steve Kerr is making his return to the team’s bench.
Kerr will coach his team in a game for the first time this season after spending time away from the bench to recover from a spinal fluid leak.

Kerr lead the Warriors to victory in the team’s first NBA Championship in 40 years.
Walton went 19-0 in the first month of the season and the Warriors opened with a record-setting 24-0 start before losing their first game at Milwaukee. There was some controversy over whether Luke Walton would actually get credit for those wins (he won’t), but the team will still be grateful for the success it has had under him.
Since Kerr has been out, former Los Angeles Lakers forward Luke Walton had taken over the head coaching duties.
Kerr posted a 67-15 record and the Warriors won the National Basketball Association title past year in Kerr’s debut season. Tonight, against the Indiana Pacers, Coach Kerr will return to the Warriors. Still, having him at the helm is a good thing for Golden State. It’s been such hard sledding for them this season at 39-4.
