United jet skids off snowy Chicago runway
According to NBC Chicago, a United Airlines flight from San Francisco skidded onto snow-covered grass while trying to land.
United flight 734 was traveling from San Francisco to Chicago.
Passengers on the flight said that nobody was injured. Thankfully, there were no injuries reported. The plane is now stuck and can’t move on its own.
United Airlines spokesman Charlie Hobart said the plane “partially rolled off the runway” after landing and that buses were being used to bring customers back to the gate.
All eyes may be on the snow along the east coast today as it grounds flights and causes traffic chaos – but it seems the cold weather is causing problems elsewhere too.
It’s the second United Airlines flight to veer off the runway at O’Hare Airport in the last month.
