New Man United kit goes on sale early… in America!
Manchester United play Barcelona in a friendly on Saturday night.
United were have been forced to keep their new strip under wraps until the end of July due to their deal with Nike. Until now it seems.
Manchester United’s eagerly awaited new Adidas kit is not due to be officially released until August, but fans now know for sure what the likes of Wayne Rooney and Bastian Schweinsteiger will be wearing in 2015/16 after several shops started selling it ahead of schedule.
With a V-neck collar and Adidas’s trademark stripes down the sleeves, the kit is a throwback to many old United shirts of the 80s. This is possibly a leak because no official word has been given on the matter and it hasn’t been spotted anywhere else and isn’t on the official store. That would give it a UK price of around £58, meaning the UK shirt is likely to be available for around £60.
The new kit will be worn for the first time by the Manchester United youth and reserve teams.
Now if the picture below is to be believed, then United’s new kit is already, unintentionally, on sale in America.
Chevrolet and Adidas shouldn’t feel too aggrieved about the situation. The Red Devils scored 62 goals in the league last term, but inconsistencies and poor results saw them slump to a fourth place finish.
